The Fashion For Life committee is proud to announce the dates for Second Life's 10th Annual Clothing Fair benefiting Relay For Life of Second Life. This event has become a mainstay of the fashion community and we are excited to continue the tradition with a special 10th anniversary event. The event will open its doors on March 6th 2016 and run for 14 days, closing at 6pm SLT on March 20th.
This event began as a dream 10 years ago with 34 designers participating all with a special reason to fund raise for Relay For Life. Since that date, it has grown to over 180 Designers covering 10 sims and has raised close to 20 million Linden Dollars for Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society . To celebrate this Special Event and Milestone, Amethyst Starostin and Nevar Lobo, the founders of the Clothing Fair in 2006, have returned to plan this amazing event.
This year is going to be a trip back in time and Celebrate the history of the Clothing Fair (Fashion for Life). Prepare to be immersed in 10 of the greatest sims built by some of Second Life's most talented builders. What is the Theme you ask ? Well its : " THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT"
We are looking forward to presenting 14 days of shopping from some of the most dedicated designers here in Second Life. Each one is committed to raising as much money for Relay for Life of Second Life and the American Cancer Society as possible.
This year we are again inviting the Live Musicians and DJ's of Second Life to join us. T1 Radio will be covering 24/ 7 through out the fair , fund raising and letting us all know just what can be found through out the 10 sims.
But that is not all:
With over 150 designers, we will also offer One of A Kind Auctions, Fashion Shows, Treasure Hunt, and a Photo Contest. Also, the fabulous Elysium Cabaret Dance troupe will be there to perform not one but two shows during the event.
I am a complete and utter fool for a styling challenge.
There is nothing more fun than to push yourself to a
new height.
I guess I wouldn't be modeling if I did not like the challenge of it.
I guess we are all just big kids at heart!
So here is my breakdown...minus the hours on Gimp!
A fun thing to do is to go retro, do a pinup girl pose.
This cute hat seemed perfect for such a shot.

I think it pretty much sums up the feeling of an
addicted relationship.
I know I have been caught up in addictive relationships
in life where the guy was as bad as any drug or potion.
I had the hardest time getting away from him,
but when I finally did, I thought what was I thinking?
I guess the old adage is true...
too much of anything is not a good thing.
Art in Hats 2015 is now open!
Now returning for it’s third year, Art in Hats 2015 is looking forward to a new year of hats, photography and art! Benefiting Team Diabetes of Second Life as our chosen charity this year, Art in Hats is on a mission to bring awareness of diabetes and help raise funds in the virtual environment. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a strong confident woman.
I am not sure how men view confidence in a woman,
I think some say they love it, but when it comes down to it,
they like being the night in shinning armor.
But even if they don't like it,
there is nothing wrong with it.
Be strong, stand on your own feet...
nothing wrong with that.
We all want to fit in, we all want to be cool.
But if you don't fit in it's ok, being cool is not everything.
If you are not accepted by one group of people, then find
where you do fit in.
Life is cruel to all of us and people can make it unbearable.
But in the end, it is up to you to control your reactions
and find a better way to deal with it.
Find something you love, and forget about those who do not love you.
I went through being an outcast, just like most people on the planet.
I had a skydiving accident years ago, and long story short,
I lost a couple of inches on
one leg. I was in an elevator of a hotel once,
going down to the pool so I was in my bathing suit.
I have scars from my hip down to my knee and my leg was several inches short,
so without shoes I limped quite badly.
Someone in the elevator made the comment that they could not
believe that I would dare show my scars in public.
Why shouldn't I? I am not ashamed of my scars,
in fact I have an awesome story to go with them.
So in life, I think we all have our stories, people can be insensitive.
I could have chosen to not go to the pool and be ashamed,
but I didn't.
We all have a choice. But being violent because we feel misunderstood.
We simply cannot tolerate the thought of violence because you feel mistreated.
If you do not like the way you are treated in the world, be the catalyst for change.

SOLARIS FASHION WEEK AUTUMN WINTER 2015 (AW15)
announced the lineup of designers and shows
for their Autumn Winter 2015 fashion week,
October 10 – October 18.
This year, we reached out to a group of new and inspiring designers,
along with our known fashion designers.
And also, as this is our premier fashion week,
we are making sure to offer shows when you want to see them,
on the weekends ONLY.
This season promises to offer something for everyone.
Along with collaborative shows, we will be featuring several theme shows.
