One of my most favorite places that I have
had the privilage to visit is the Carribean.
The white sand and warm water are so titalizing.
I dream of being able to visit again.
Until that day, I have so many great memories!
One of my favorite performers is Lorena Makennitt.
I saw her perform at a small concert up on the University campus.
She is incredible. Her voice is that of an angel
and the way she plays the cello is amazing.
I use her music to massage, as I am a massage therapist in rl.
If you are not familiar with her work, check her out.
Makes me wanna play the cello.
The Fashion For Life committee is proud to announce the dates for Second
Life's 10th Annual Clothing Fair benefiting Relay For Life of Second
Life. This event has become a mainstay of the fashion community and we
are excited to continue the tradition with a special 10th anniversary
event. The event will open its doors on March 6th 2016 and run for 14
days, closing at 6pm SLT on March 20th.
This event began as a dream 10 years ago with 34 designers participating
all with a special reason to fund raise for Relay For Life. Since that
date, it has grown to over 180 Designers covering 10 sims and has raised
close to 20 million Linden Dollars for Relay For Life and the American
Cancer Society . To celebrate this Special Event and Milestone,
Amethyst Starostin and Nevar Lobo, the founders of the Clothing Fair in
2006, have returned to plan this amazing event.
This year is going to be a trip back in time and Celebrate the history
of the Clothing Fair (Fashion for Life). Prepare to be immersed in 10 of
the greatest sims built by some of Second Life's most talented
builders. What is the Theme you ask ? Well its : " THAT'S
ENTERTAINMENT"
We are looking forward to presenting 14 days of shopping from some of
the most dedicated designers here in Second Life. Each one is committed
to raising as much money for Relay for Life of Second Life and the
American Cancer Society as possible.
This year we are again inviting the Live Musicians and DJ's of Second
Life to join us. T1 Radio will be covering 24/ 7 through out the fair ,
fund raising and letting us all know just what can be found through out
the 10 sims.
But that is not all:
With over 150 designers, we will also offer One of A Kind Auctions,
Fashion Shows, Treasure Hunt, and a Photo Contest. Also, the fabulous
Elysium Cabaret Dance troupe will be there to perform not one but two
shows during the event.

I am wise because I learn from my mistakes.
I am a lover because I have felt hate.
I am hopeful because I see beauty in everything.
We all struggle with beautiful.
Either you are not pretty enough,
or you are too pretty.
Where do you find that perfect balance?
All you need to know is you are beautiful in your own right.
You do not have to be on a cover of a magazine to be beautiful.
Find your best aspects about yourself and accentuate those.
Love who you are and be happy in your own skin.
In the last year I have been going through cancer treatments
with a friend of mine who has breast cancer.
My mom's best friend is also going through it as well.
My friend from across the states, back in NC has been going through
it with her mom.
Breast cancer seems to be everywhere.
Don't think it won't effect you.
Eventually either you or someone you love will have to deal with it.
Or you may lose someone you love.
Lets join together and make sure that
nobody has to suffer through this.

Breast
cancer is one of the leading health crises for women. 1 in 8 women, and
an every increasing percentage of men will be diagnosed with breast
cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast
cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.
Models
Giving Back is pleased to present Rock Your Rack, an annual fundraising
event combining the best of SL Music and Fashion to support the work of
breast cancer charities and raise awareness for early detection which
is critical to a positive outcome for this devastating disease.
This
year's event will support the National Breast Cancer Foundation which
provides free mammograms, education, support and early detection
services to anyone in need.
The 2015 event is on three
sims and involves 64 designers including 4 Platinum Sponsors: Ever An'
Angel, Lybra, PurpleMoon, and Sky. Along with these designers, 5 Live
Musical Artists, 1 dance team and 5 DJs will provide entertainment
throughout the two week long Event.
Events during the
fundraiser include 8 fashion shows, 6 live musical concerts, a
performance by the Shadow's Silhouette Dancers, DJ dance parties, a 10L
Hunt, Silent Auction areas, and more. Designers will be providing
exclusive creations with 100% of the sales of those items going to the
National Breast Cancer Foundation along with a fine selection of the
newest and most popular designs donating a percentage as well.

year's event officially opens to the public on Saturday, September 26,
2015 at 12:00am SLT and will close at 11:59pm SLT on Sunday, October 11,

Giving Back is an agency of professional, certified SecondLife models
who give of their time and talents to raise funds for legitimate and
verified SL and RL charities.
Models Giving Back was
founded in October of 2012 by Jamee Sandalwood after a previous agency
dedicated to charity work was forced to close due to the owner leaving
SecondLife. Jamee felt the work that was being done needed to be
continued and set out to lead the models that were already a part of the
former agency into new and bigger endeavors at the newly created Models
Giving Back.
To date the agency has partnered with
dozens of designers and provided models for runway, print and other
functions that support charities around SL.

About the National Breast Cancer Foundation
The
National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by breast cancer
survivor, Janelle Hail. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1980 at
the age of 34. At the time of her diagnosis, there was little
information about the disease, and she was forced to make a decision
about her health with few options. After her treatment, Janelle made a
commitment to help women around the world by educating them about breast
cancer and the importance of early detection. NBCF’s mission is to
save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those
in need. This mission includes increasing awareness through education,
providing diagnostic breast care services for those in need, and
providing nurturing support services.
