I have been too sick to practice the art though.

Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women. 1 in 8 women, and an every increasing percentage of men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.

Models Giving Back is pleased to present Rock Your Rack, an annual fundraising event combining the best of SL Music and Fashion to support the work of breast cancer charities and raise awareness for early detection which is critical to a positive outcome for this devastating disease.

This year's 4th annual event will support the National Breast Cancer Foundation providing mammograms, education, support and early detection services to anyone in need. 

The 2016 Event is all together on one sim and involves 63 designers including 9 Gold sponsors:  AlaFolie, Athena Couture, Dulce Secrets, Emerald Couture, Empyrean Forge, LaVian & Co, phedora, Prism and Kultivate Magazine.  Along with these designers,  14 DJ's, 11 Live Musicians, 22 2D/3D artists, and 22 models will participate in the two week long event. 

Events during the fundraiser include 9 fashion shows, 11 live musical concerts,  12 DJ dance parties, a 10L Hunt,  Two Silent Auction areas, an Art Exhibit organized by Kultivate magazine, Art Auction and 7Seas Fishing Tournaments.  Designers will be providing exclusive creations with 100% of the sales of those items going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation along with a fine selection of the newest and most popular designs donating a percentage as well.

 The Fashion For Life committee is proud to announce the dates for Second Life's 10th Annual Clothing Fair benefiting Relay For Life of Second Life. This event has become a mainstay of the fashion community and  we are excited to continue the tradition with a special 10th anniversary event. The event will open its doors on March 6th 2016 and run for 14 days, closing at 6pm SLT on March 20th.

This event began as a dream 10 years ago with 34 designers participating all with a special reason to fund raise for Relay For Life. Since that date, it has grown to over 180 Designers covering 10 sims and has raised close to 20 million Linden Dollars for Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society .  To celebrate this Special Event and Milestone, Amethyst Starostin and Nevar Lobo, the founders of the Clothing Fair in 2006, have returned to plan this amazing event.

This year is going to be a trip back in time and Celebrate the history of the Clothing Fair (Fashion for Life). Prepare to be immersed in 10 of the greatest sims built by some of Second Life's most talented builders. What is the Theme you ask ? Well its :  " THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT"

We are looking forward to presenting 14 days of shopping from some of the most dedicated designers here in Second Life.  Each one is committed to raising as much money for Relay for Life of Second Life and the American Cancer Society as possible.

This year we are again inviting the Live Musicians and DJ's of Second Life to join us. T1 Radio will be covering 24/ 7 through out the fair , fund raising and letting us all know just what can be found through out the 10 sims. 

But that is not all:

With over 150 designers, we will also offer One of A Kind Auctions, Fashion Shows, Treasure Hunt, and a Photo Contest. Also, the fabulous Elysium Cabaret Dance troupe will be there to perform not one but two shows during the event.

It didn't matter if I was good at it, or if I sucked at it...

When I learned to ski, I stood on the top of the mountain,
took a deep breath of the cold, crisp air and
knew that was what it felt like.
Sure I crashed, got stuck in powder up to my waist.
I fell on the pully rope and ended up in the  middle
where they had to turn off the pulley and pull me out.
Ha! I pulled my best friend in as well so she could
struggle with me.
But I wouldn't have the laughs and memories
if I hadn't tried it.
