You gotta wonder why there are so many of us
who can't seem to find a fullfilling relationship.
Why so many of us are alone and looking for
love.
I think the world is so disconnected that it is hard
to find something real.
And even if you make a connection,
there are so many things to draw your attention
away from working towards something rewarding.
So I wonder why...
is it so hard to connect?

I have always loved the rain.
In my world, I love to dance in the rain,
huddle in a blanket and watch the rain on the porch
with a cup of hot cocoa...
love to snuggle when its over cast and find adventure
when it rains too long.
Some days the blues just take over.
You can't seem to pick yourself up off the floor.
But I can talk from experience,
no matter how hard things get,
no matter how blue you are...
the storm will pass.
It won't be forever..
Today my blog is about the needless tragedy that seems to be going on
throughout the world today.
For anyone who thinks it's a great idea to kill those who
do not believe or act the way they think they should...
don't you think that actions towards making
someone do something they don't want to..
or to have to hide themselves in shame...
or even worse...to take someones life because they
do not believe the same things as you do...
is not far worse than the things you are judging?
Seriously, how stupid are people these days?
I thought judging someone over the color of their skin was the most ridiculous mindset
a person could curse themselves with.
But evidently violence in some stupid ideal of being better than
someone else has gotta be the epitome of stupidity.
Yea I know, I don't rant much but I have lately.
I was always taught to treat others the way I would like to be
treated. Was the golden rule lost somewhere along the years?
To all those who feel hopelessness in the violence that seems to
plague our society and it seems like you cannot trust anyone...
Like Mr Rodgers said...and yes we should all look to those men
who bring forth light and love...
He said that his mother always taught him to look to the helpers.
In every tragedy a few people may cause chaos but look
to those who come in support, love and comfort.
The majority of us are good people who love others and life itself.
And yes I am gonna quote the good book. Satan was given the power to bruise our heels,
we are given the power to crush his head.
Just always make sure you are one of the helpers...
the ones lending a hand, the ones who will not be crushed but
one that is willing to lift up this world and yourself above the
degradation that is rampaging through the streets.
We are better than that.

I have many many great memories of winter and the holidays.
The thing about the holidays is that we build up a magical time
for ourselves, for our children...
The thing that makes these things so memorable is tradition.
This tradition dates back not long after the death of Christ.
So when I hear people trying to put their own values on others
it makes me sad.
I will tell you Merry Christmas.
I love Chrsitmas, I have fond memories and I believe that a tradition
this old should not be dictated by someone else feeling that I should
not be celebrating or wishing people a Merry Christmas.
I believe that this generation, possibly several generations back, have lost
their ability to respect others.
If you want to wish me Happy Holidays, I respect that and would
never try to change your views.
So if I can show respect for your views, why can't you show the same respect for me?
I don't care what anyone believes, as long as it
is not felt that I need to hold your same value.
But I will respect your feelings, and really if you expect people to respect your
views, you need to respect theirs in return.
That is the reason we have fought for freedom.
Why would you want to take that same freedom from someone else?
Enough of my soapbox, and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
or whatever you may be celebrating.
Sometimes when the deck is stacked against you,
you have to toughen up, get tougher than the rest.
Hold your head high, take things in stride and
keep on movin on.
It's ok to be tough, it's ok to stand up for the things you
believe in.
It is ok to tell someone to stop, you just aren't gonna be treated
like that.
