For those who love religion, or rather for anyone who
loves spirituality, this one goes out to you.
It is good to wonder and question all the things around us.
Blind faith is the thing that leads to such things as
being controlled or doing things in the name of religion
that are against anything that God or Christ would ever have
one human do to another.
Praise God, but if what you have been taught is to kill others
in the name of religion,
there is a huge problem. God is light and love and would
never ask us to kill random people in his name.
Ok off my soap box,
In the name of the season...
love one another.
Everyone wants to be a star, to shine brightly and to be noticed.
Truth be told, the sky is already filled with stars.
You gotta shine brighter and be bigger than a star to be noticed.
We all think we are so special, so different, so unique.
But we all fit into categories, we all fall in line.
Every now and then someone seems to shine bright, seems to be bigger than life,
cudos to them,
but for the rest of us, who really do fill the sky,
shine as bright as we can, and light the earth..
remember, you may be one of many...
but you are still special.

Speaking of blue...we all get blue every now and then.
Sometimes it's easy to kick and you get past it quickly.
Sometimes you don't and the blues stick around for too long.
This is how I deal with my blues.
I give myself 10 to 15 minutes to be blue about something,
then it's time to kick myself in the butt, get past it and think about something else.
Trust me, it isn't as easy as just saying it, and it takes work to
put your mind on something else and forget about what makes you blue.
But, with practice you can start to walk away from those things and put your energy into something more positive.
This generation, which is being nicknames the butt hurt generation,
is use to or thinks that things should come right now, that you shouldn't have
to work for or wait for anything.
Anything worth it will require time, energy, pain and suffering.
If you are not ready to do the time, you won't get rewarded.
You will get just what you put into it,
and sometimes that is nothing.
One of my favorite things to do is tango.
I once went to a production, in which I cannot remember the name,
and they did a tango that involved swatting mosquitos,.
So as they danced, they swatted the mosquitos off each other.
It was by far the best tango I have ever seen.
I hope someday to see it replayed in the theater, I wish I could find a video of it.
But, to tango is seriously one of the funnest things I have ever learned.
If you haven't tried it, so tango!
Why is it that so many people abuse the one they are with
until they are gone?
Then when they aren't around anymore,
they can't think of anything else.
If you don't take care to appreciate the one you are with,
pretty soon you will be there alone.
Amazing how some people can't appreciate what they have til
it's gone.
Is it really that hard to see the good things in people...
help them patch up what is wrong
and basically be happy?
I have many many great memories of winter and the holidays.
The thing about the holidays is that we build up a magical time
for ourselves, for our children...
The thing that makes these things so memorable is tradition.
This tradition dates back not long after the death of Christ.
So when I hear people trying to put their own values on others
it makes me sad.
I will tell you Merry Christmas.
I love Chrsitmas, I have fond memories and I believe that a tradition
this old should not be dictated by someone else feeling that I should
not be celebrating or wishing people a Merry Christmas.
I believe that this generation, possibly several generations back, have lost
their ability to respect others.
If you want to wish me Happy Holidays, I respect that and would
never try to change your views.
So if I can show respect for your views, why can't you show the same respect for me?
I don't care what anyone believes, as long as it
is not felt that I need to hold your same value.
But I will respect your feelings, and really if you expect people to respect your
views, you need to respect theirs in return.
That is the reason we have fought for freedom.
Why would you want to take that same freedom from someone else?
